Set up automatic import

The Potsight desktop app watches your hand-history folder and uploads each hand once it has ended, so it's ready to review seconds later. It never reads a hand while it's being played.

No computer is connected yet. Follow the steps below.

Download the desktop app

Downloads aren't available yet. Until then, import your hands from files: it's free and unlimited.

Set up in three steps

  1. Install and open Potsight

    Download the version for your computer above, install it and open it. It runs in the menu bar or the system tray.

  2. Connect your account

    Choose Sign in in the app. Your browser opens this site; confirm that you want to connect the computer.

  3. Choose your hand-history folder

    Pick the folder your poker site saves hands to (see below). From then on, each hand uploads as soon as it ends.

Where your poker site saves hands

Turn on saving hand histories in your poker client’s settings. These are the usual folders; the client’s settings show the exact one. The desktop app reads text hand histories.

GGPoker
GGPoker doesn’t save hands while you play. Download them from PokerCraft in the client, save them in one folder, and choose that folder. In hands where you took EV Cashout or insurance, the result shown is the pot as it ran, not what the cash-out paid.

The client’s hand-history settings show the folder. This is the usual one on Windows.

iPoker
iPoker sites save XML files in a folder named after the site. Import them on the Import page: the desktop app reads text files only.
CoinPoker
Turn on saving hand histories in the client’s settings, which also show the folder.

Some country versions of PokerStars use their own folder in the same place, such as PokerStars.EU or PokerStars.FR. The app lists the ones it finds on your computer.

Live analysis is off by default

Hands upload while you play, and you analyse them when you choose. In Settings you can turn on analysis of each hand as soon as it ends.

Check your poker site's rules first. Some sites forbid study tools while you are playing, and using one can get your account banned.
